I rode an S4R once.

I had to walk sideways for over a week afterwards, do to excessive "Wood Sportage".

One of my personal favorite bikes of all time, without a rival.

It's a real shame to live so close to the Blue Ridge Mountains(best riding in the Country) and not to be able to find the time to ride such a fine motorcycle.
I feel for ya brotha.... :(

(I'd ditch the wife and kids, quit the job, start eating my Weaties, whatever it took to ride that bike a few thousand miles at least before I sold it.:D )

BTW Don,

Get yourself an external hard drive, and back up all your photos and documents in the future. Not expensive, and you don't have to clog your comp's HD with so many files and slow down security scans.
You also won't loose anything important when the next computer takes a shit.

Even better than the S4R Benson, The S4R"S" has Olhins all 'round. It's literally Monster Nirvana! I was looking into an 848 this year...if this bike is still around it will make my choice that much harder! VroomVroom

I guess I've riden both to tell you the truth.

The S4R, with the Showa, was sprung closer to where a heavyweight like me needs it, so I liked riding it better than the "S" I rode a year later.

I'm sure if I changed to the right springs for me though, the Ohlins would impress me as much as it seems to impress everyone else.

The way the "S" was that I rode, the suspension was just way undersprung for my weight.

Both models are pretty special motorcycles from any angle, sometimes, the memories of those rides still brings a little wood to rise.:spit:
