Hey everyone! I'm trapped out here in straight road land, but I thought I'd say hi!

Yeah, Clemson definitely provided quicker access to nice roads. I'm not doing any riding right now, though as I had an accident and fractured my right wrist. :( My poor R1 is in sad shape too.

Ouch.....when did you buy the R1?

I bought it in August 2005. I loved it to death. Such a comfortable bike.

I must of missed that or forgot it. I remember you were selling your 600 and the trailer. Just didn't realize you had sold them and bought the R1. So......how much did you hurt it?

The insurance company totalled it, but I think i'm going to buy it back. It needs new bodywork, fairing stay, subframe, exhaust and some other bits and pieces. It starts right up, though. lol.

I am sorry about you incident. I am very glad you are OK for the most part but I would let the bike go. It will always be in the back of your mind that something could still be wrong and just waiting to show it's ugly head.

Lynne, my yellow trackbike was involved in a wreck (not by me) with 100 miles on it and I wonder to this day if I could ride it faster on the track if it had not been a little mishap.

Just my two cents.

Yeah, I agree with you. My first two bikes were wrecked before I bought them and I never quite trusted them. At least with this one, I am doing the work myself and know the parts that I am buying. My roommate and I are planning on making it our "play bike." Or, I might just sell it when I'm finished. We'll see (where I am money-wise). Its going to be an 04 bike with 05 fairings and 06 forks. lol. I have already put a down payment on a 06 Raven. It arrives in July - I can't wait!! :D

Are you back in OK for work? I know it cannot be because the roads are better.

Yeah, I'm working here. I'm planning on starting a Ph.D soon too. Yeah, the roads here suck!
