Greetings All,

I thought I would introduce myself. My wife Pat and I live in Simpsonville,SC.

I drive a truck in all 48 states and my wife & cat ride with me. I learned how

to ride on a 57 Cushman Eagle (blue) and we now have a 97 Valkerie

(purple/pearl) and an 08 C-14. Just couldn't get rid of the Valkerie.

We generally meet up with a HS buddy at Clayton,Ga and do a loop around

the roads we all love. Will probably let someone else hold my truck next year

and then I can ride every day. I want to thank FJRman for telling me about

CRF and hope to meet some of you at the store or at Caruso this weekend.

"rookie" (george)

Hey Rookie,
I traded bikes with a friend last year, rode his c14.... I thought the seat was hot hot hot!! And it was a normal 80 degrees out or so. Rubbery sticky too... you c14 guys have a 'fix' for that heat ... or just normal? Or maybe the one I rode wasn't normal :conf44: .
Cheers.

Justin,

I installed a Corbin seat right away and like it very much. Last August when I

bought the bike there was a great deal of heat comming from the right side

vent onto my calf. I havn't noticed it yet this year but if it gets too bad, I

will try to wrap the 1st cat with high heat insulation tape. If that doesn't

get it done I'll wrap the exhaust pipes from the head to down under the bike.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know about them.

Thanks,

george

I do have another suggestion:

Get $8 taxi beads from wally and snip a couple strings and have it unravel to fit you buns... keeps your air circulation going, it's like my American Express card... don't leave home without em...

Hey, was somewhere in WNC on my way to hook up to the BRP. Don't know exactly where I was though :conf44: .
Vstrom is sold though now too :scooter: . But I wouldn't doubt that one day I come across another, great bikes!

Hey, was somewhere in WNC on my way to hook up to the BRP. Don't know exactly where I was though :conf44: .
Has me stumped.....it looks more like SC compared to NC with the lack of mountains....not Hwy 215 nor Hwy 276 nor Hwy 28.....kinda reminds me of the bridge on Hwy 11 going over Jocassee between Pickens and Oconee Counties, but I don't recognize the railing......or the concrete pavement......Northern section of Hwy 281 after the gravel section doesn't seem right by the lack of mountains.....I don't think anything off of Hwy 9 looks like that....

Interesting....So, anyone recognize it? Maybe Stretch would.

Justin,

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know about them.

Thanks,

I meet a Busa owner that used knee shin protectors under his jeans to block the heat.
