Anyone want to get together for a ride this weekend. I know alot of people have Friday off as well. Scott (sdzx10) and I were thinking about getting some people together for a ride on whichever day works best for everyone. Maybe we can coerce Stretch to bring out his little black book of roads and take us up to the snake or wherever.

I'll be out in the neighborhood but in a cage this time around. Just picked up a very low mileage '99 RX7 convertible so the bike gets the weekend off.

Probably Sat as I have no other 4th plans, and the roads will hopefully be a little less crowded with everyone at the lakes/homes doing the family BBQ things

WOW, a 99 RX-7, now that is a rare car.

Yeah, especially since they were only imported into the US through '95, and no FD's were convertables. He must mean an '89 rx7 convertable, which is still pretty rare to be seen on the road nowadays. It's a shame that we never got a turbo version of the convertable here in the US. It was available in Japan and other countries.

Yep..... TYPO on Adams part. It's a 1991 non turbo RX7 convertible 2nd generation body. One owner car with 90k miles on it. Was too good of a deal to pass up.

Not gonna add a turbo but there are some prety cool mods available out there. Probably will just go to the larger injectors and change the exaust to get rid of all that smog prevention crap :) Keep the stock look. Original paint still looks nearly as good as the day it rolled off the lot.

LS1 is the best mod for those cars.

Traffic was very heavy in populated areas on Friday: Highlands, Cashiers.

Getting there and back, 28, 107, Wigington Road, & 130 were almost empty.

By the way, the one tight turn that sneaks up on you on 28 is still marked with the word "SLOW" painted on the pavement, coming up from the south. Good advice.

Sorry.. Didn't get back on .. We went out Old 25 to 176.. Went wrong on 64 and ended up on NC 9 going up into Asheville.. It was a pretty decent ride.. Sorry about not getting back on.. We live right down the street from each other, but we normally stop at the Hickory Pt off of Poinsett near Publix..

Every time I spend the week looking forward to a nice Sunday ride I wake up to RAIN!!

Well I guess it's a good thing we will be in the cage today. Maybe we will see some of you at the store. Scattered showers cant be enought to keep the die hards indoors today!!!
