I work a late second shift. If I take just 4 hours of vacation I don't have to be at work till sunset. Unfortunately I'm waiting on a tire this weekend

I rode all day Tuesday by myself up on 178 and 276 I kept hopping to see some one I knew but I didn't as a matter of fact I didn't see anyone on a bike until 2. I wanted to test the Shinko 003 I put on I like them I have 600 miles on them and they look like a old sponge, it doesn't look like I will get more than about 1500 miles out of them but with the cooler temps and at a cost of about a $125.00 for a set I think I will order 2 more sets Monday.

About those other riders I ran into if you are on this form I have one thing to say SLOW DOWN!:punish: I know I talked to you all on the rode but the way you guys were riding was very dangers:hang2: riding so fast that you would cross over into on coming traffic when exiting a corner, speeds over a hundred in the straights and passing without concern for others even the Game Warden.

riding so fast that you would cross over into on coming traffic when exiting a corner, .
A sure sign your riding beyond your personal limits. and a great way to get killed. crossing the double yellow is the cardnal sin of motorcycle riding.
rant over.......

I'm gonna leave my house on Pelham rd in G'ville about 7am. I'm gonna go up Saluda grade, come down watershed, go up 25, take gap creek-devils fork and end up on 11. Then to the store. I'll be there, give or take, at 8:30. Ride around up that way for a while, and try to be home about 1:00. That's it in a nutshell.

...take gap creek-devils fork and end up on 11.

I know where Gap Creek Road is, and where Devils Fork State Park is, but which roads are you referring to between the two?

Here's a map of the two (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=161+Holcombe+Cir,+Salem,+SC+29676-2306+(Devil%27s+Fork+State+Park)&daddr=381+Gap+Creek+Rd,+Marietta,+SC+29661-9607+(Gap+Creek+Baptist+Church)&hl=en&geocode=CQXYXVR5hsWuFdlRFQId3lcO-yEOgx8GWm_DYQ%3BFXEMGAIdXuIU-yE7tvWxqOgplQ&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=35.041241,-82.736664&sspn=0.335622,0.727158&ie=UTF8&ll=35.028872,-82.753143&spn=0.671342,1.454315&z=10).

Haha. I stink at road names. Pff. North on 25 going towards hendersonville is a road to the left that I thought was 'Gap creek'. It MAY be called 'Jones gap rd'. You can get a left onto I THINK 'devils fork which will bring you to........I forget. That will bring you out on 11 at some little store. I forget the name. That should answer your question.;)

Bucky,

Gap Creek Road runs between Highway 25 near the NC state line and Highway 276/11 (the short section that is both 276 and 11). Gap Creek Road turns into River Falls Road somewhere in between 25 and 276. Devils Fork Road intersects Gap Creek road and is no way associated with the state park. River Falls Road is the road where the F-Mart store is on 276/11.

Got it. I rode there on Memorial Day, and have since ridden it over to 25: Bucky's Ride (http://buckysride.blogspot.com/2009/05/memorial-day-ride-to-jones-gap-state.html)
