I should realy just by some new leathers but I'm a little strapped for cash right now. Is there any place near by that can replace a zipper on my leather pants?

There's a leather repair shop in Simpsonville. He ride's his Harley to work everyday pretty much year round. He is behind the Karata school.

I've had a zipper replaced by a local shoemaker, and for a zipper on leathers or a jacket, just about any upholstery shop (especially one for boat covers and seats) can do it. They usually have the more heavy-duty sewing machines for leather.

I have used:

J&A Sewing
1205 Route 8, just toward Pickens on the left after Breazeale Road, about here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=SC-8&daddr=&geocode=FRu2EwIdxtYS-w&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=34.84623,-82.651455&sspn=0.010513,0.022724&ie=UTF8&z=16).

Just used J & A Sewing as Bucky recommended above. Julie did a great job! She basically had to rebuild a pair of leather pants for me and also fixed a problem that I'd been having with my race suit.

All work top notch and done quickly. Turns out, Julie has a lot of experience with this stuff as her Husband, Mike is an Ex-Wera expert racer. She said that she can sew anything and I believe her because she was also working on updating coverings for a whole pontoon boat.

If you have "grown" a little over the winter or if you have something that does not quite fit right, she'll make it fit.

She's a member of CR, but you can always reach her at 616-450-0145.

Has she moved from the location on SC-8? The sign is gone. Is that phone number correct? It appears to be a Michigan area code.

Yep, she moved. Her shop is beside her house off Powdersville Road just a little past Mossie Smith Road. The phone number is correct. Shame to see that nice Yamahauler dealership closed on 153.
