When I wear out the tires I have on now, I plan to spoon on a set of Dunlop D616
It won't make a motoX bike out of my 450# bike with 4.5" of suspension travel, But I'd like to spend more time exploring the dirt roads in the area.

I've wanted to sample the D616's for a while.
I'd probably get some interesting comments from the regulars at the store.
Such as: What were you thinking??

Seems like it'd be a good rain tire.
Wonder if you would get more than 1500 miles out of'm on your FZ?
Good pricing on these things too.

I run with a couple of friends on R1200GS's which have similar tire patterns. Those bikes will definitely hang in the turns on asphalt and surprise many a sport bike rider. I wanted to try those Anakee's (not sure if that is spelled right) that they used but they didn't have 17" tires that were close to fitting my Tiger. What riding with those guys has taught me about taking a street bike off the pavement was that it was WAAAAY more suspension issues than tires that made the difference.

I no longer have the link for the company that was building those Ducati Monster conversions, and some of them were pretty neat. This is the only picture I saved...

This is a neat custom Ducati 999 dirt bike conversion....
