Always wear earplugs.

Now I need powerful enough in-helmet speakers to hear Bluetooth GPS through them.

...or, effective earpieces that attenuate noise as well as earplugs do.

Advice?

skip the GPS instructions.
I used to cary a map just in case I got lost. but getting lost turned out to be a realy great way to find new roads.
as long as I have gas money it's all good:scooter:
I wear ear plugs 99% of the time.

I use a Scala Rider BT helmet setup and wear earplugs. I can hear the music and gps just fine with the ear plugs

About two or three years ago, I discovered MP3 and thought it was WONDERFUL!!! Now when the road gets interesting I turn it off because I found it to be distracting. Same with the lady in the GPS box. Dontcha just love someone repeatedly saying "Off Route, Recalculate???" when you can plainly see you are on route and she's lost?

Guys,
I'll go out on a limb with this one....if I wear the HJC helmet I got with my VFR I wear plugs...the economy jobs are fine...I lie the music but I get distracted too.
If I wear my Arai while riding my ST no problemo...I've owned three of them and never needed plugs....maybe its my head dunno...but with the other helmets ear plugs are a must....

My bikes so quiet I can hear my GPS talk to me with even at highway speeds while wearing a fullface helmet. I don't need them.

wow.. I could get 45 pairs of the "custom fit it yourself" earfuze earbuds for the price of one pair of those BE-OZ earbuds. That's just crazy...

... has anyone tried using the radians ear plugs (http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/radians-custom-molded-ear-plugs.html) and a pair of earbuds to make your own custom molded earbuds (http://makeprojects.com/Project/Custom-Fit-Earbuds/199/1)? .. same concept as the earfuze but only $11 (plus your ear buds).
