Re: Triangle (NC) Italian Motoring Enthusiasts

I'm a little late posting this, but the July gathering of this group is tomorrow, July 5th, at Camille's Sidewalk Cafe in Brier Creek. I'm heading that way, hopefully on the new Ducati's maiden...

Re: Anyone closer to Clayton/Smithfield

Joker: I'll definitely shoot you a PM when I'm able to ride again. Soon, very soon, I hope!

Mark: Glad to have the new ride, I'm really looking forward to finally getting to ride her! As for the...

Re: Anyone closer to Clayton/Smithfield

I just moved from one side of Smithfield (Goldsboro) to the other (Cary) but I still come through there all the time. Also, my main riding buddy lives basically in Garner. I'm still laid up from a...

Great weekend for racing!

In contrast to all the sucky news coming out of the AMA/DMG camp these days, this weekend will be a great weekend for racing. Events of note include:

MotoGP from Assen (don't forget, the race is...

Re: New racing series??

Being the avid race fan that I am, I've been following this whole DMG drama since the beginning. In fact, I was at Daytona when the original announcement was made. I have to admit: at first I was...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Hey, I'm in no position to criticize, having been notably absent myself the last few months. That is, however, a situation I'm trying to correct. I missed the CR crew, it's kinda nice to be...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Jeff: Thanks for the kind wishes. It all sucked, but it's just one of those things. I'm hoping I never have another experience like this, but all-in-all I came out of it OK. There was some luck...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Tell me about it. Normally I'd have been wearing full leathers on that ride, but I rode the MTS up and didn't have room to pack them. I was wearing Draggin' Jeans and they protected me from any...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Holy crap, thanks for the tip! That's exactly the bike I was looking for. I love those white and red ones. Unless I can get lucky and score a Tricolore... but that's exceedingly unlikely at this...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Haven't updated in a while, but I thought I'd give the latest.

Things are going well on my end. I've been in physical therapy for the last couple of weeks, I'm off crutches and the walker, and I'm...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

All,

Thanks again for the kind words. It's definitely much nicer to be home. At least I have my computer, good TV (well, as good as it ever gets...) video games, etc. The limited mobility is a...

Re: Ducs Along The Blue Ridge ** ACCIDENT VICTIMS UPDATE**

Hello all, and thanks for the kind words, thoughts, and consideration. I'm home now but unfortunately Mark Beaverman is still in the hospital. I was released last night about 7pm and was home by...

Re: AMA at VIR

We had a great weekend at the races. We got there Thursday night and camped at the track right next to the fence at the apex of turn 10. It was a great time as always! Maybe one of these years I'll...

AMA at VIR

Anybody going up this weekend? We're heading up for all three days and camping at the track. Maybe we'll see some CR folks there!

Re: New Member

Welcome aboard! What bike was the CR sticker on at Micheal's? I get out there sometimes, not really as much as I'd like. If you see a red Ducati 1098S or a silver Ducati Multistrada out there it...

Laguna Seca USGP

Ok folks, somebody help me out here. I see where Lack-of-speed channel is showing MotoGP qualifying on Saturday, AMA Superbike and Supersport on Sunday but no MotoGP race. I found some things that...

Re: September 14, 2008

That's what I keep hearing. Apparently it's very possible that there will be a WSBK round at Barber in 2008. The track already has the changes that were requested by the FIM designed and planned,...

Re: Ant West and Kawasaki

I agree. That dude has been a revelation this year. And I don't feel bad for being a fair-weather Stoner fan 'cause I became a fan of his watching him bash fairings with Pedrosa on 250s in 2005. ...

Re: WRAL Poll-Should motorcyclists be allowed to run red lights?

The lights aren't tripped by weight though. As I understand it, the sensor loops buried in the street generate magnetic fields and they can sense when a large enough chunk of metal disrupts the...

Re: Ant West and Kawasaki

Well, I guess my question was answered to some degree. West was fairly impressive in the wet, not so much in the dry during the Donington GP. But I think there might be great things to come from...

Re: WRAL Poll-Should motorcyclists be allowed to run red lights?

It's kinda irritating to me that most people (I agree: probably not riders themselves) are voting "No." I'd be interested to hear other suggestions about how those individuals think it should be...
