It amazes me the number of obviously new - young riders out there now who are riding around, especially at night, without very much on other than a T-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes, and a helmet. I even saw a rider on Woodlawn recently wearing flops! Throw on a passenger and add the same lack of safety gear is just asking for trouble.
There are certain DO's and DON'Ts in being a responsible rider and I think one of them is to at least have gloves on! What's the first thing that will probably hit the ashault if you come off the bike? YOUR HANDS!
Come on folks - what do we do? Bring safety concerns to the riders when you see them or just ignore them. I'm scratching my head about this more and more these days.
