Default Lower Seat Height Project CRF230L

Bought an 08 Honda CRF230L DS for Debbie knowing it would need to be lowered since Debbie is 5'3". The stock seat height of the CRF230L is 31.9". Debbie could only touch the ground on her tip toes in the stock configuration. Purchased the KoubaLink that lowers the rear of the bike 1 5/8": http://koubalink.com/CRF230L%20Dual%20Sport.html

Installed the KoubaLink while the bike was on a center jack taking about 30 minutes:

Slid the front fork tubes up 3/4" in the triple clamps, another 30 minute job:

With modifications, kickstand was too long, cut 1/2" section out of the kickstand, after grinding hacksaw cuts smooth took about 3/4" overall out of the kickstand, installed a 3/4"OD X 1 1/4" long steel tube, with a wall thickness double the thickness of the kickstand tube, in the inside of the kickstand tube resulting in a nice slip fit securing it with 2 ton, two part epoxy letting it set-up 24 hours before use, a 1 hour 30 minute job including removal and installation.

Recommended sag by KoubaLink is 2.5" from no weight on wheels to rider standing on pegs in full gear & full weight on wheels. Checked sag and it was 2 7/16", which was close enough. After modifications seat height of the bike is about 30 5/8" with no rider and 29 5/8" with Debbie sitting on the bike. She cannot completely flat foot both feet at the same time, but much improved over stock configuration. Can modify seat so she can completely flat foot both feet at same time, but do not believe seat lowering modification is needed. Corbin also makes a seat for this bike. She will test her new ride tomorrow!!
