Friday ADV / dual-sport ride

Rod, Matt and I are planning on doing a ride Friday. Leaving the gas station on Bragg Blvd (Hwy 87) and Vass Rd in Spring Lake at 0900. Will take Vass Rd (some nice curves) to Carthage where we’ll meet Vince, if he can make it, at the convenience store next to Hardees on Hwy 24 / 27 at 1000. Then hit some really nice, twisty paved roads between Carthage, Troy and Uwharrie. Will then hit some dirt roads in Uwharrie National Forest. Maybe split into 2 groups – one stick to dirt roads and the other hit some of the single track. Then link back up at El Dorado convenience store / restaurant south of Uwharrie an hour or two later. Next, hit the twisties back toward Carthage. Those can want can take an alternate dirt / sandy road from Vass are back to Spring Lake. Total distance roughly 120 miles… maybe more, maybe less.
