Motorcycle Consumer News, February 2009, "For 2008, G650 engine production was shifted from Rotax in Austria to Kymco in Taiwan to save costs."
I may have confused the F650 and the G650 motors. I believe the G motors are used in all of the X (Cross) bikes. Very confusing, the new F650 is now the 800cc parallel twin.
