Well the shock saga is not over. When I mounted the shock I could only get 5-7mm of static sag and around 20mm of rider sag. It was put together with too much initial preload. Backing that off meant taking the shock off, putting it in a vise and unwinding the hydraulic preload adjuster. Ya know, that chit gets old. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING on an FJR is designed with one purpose, taking skin off my knuckles

Should have it back together tomorrow morning. Will be interesting to see the new numbers. Right or wrong, the new shock did feel great.

UPDATE: Just rider, not all the gear and bags empty - 35MM, that's about where it should be. Can't be happy until I try it though.
