Thumbs up Rims On The River Vintage Show 2010

Guys,
I got this via E-Mail today...have heard bits of it from a guy near the coast so it was never really clear and usually too close to plan on...Sounds like some fun....at least its something else to think about....I still haven't heard anything further on the other two events I have posted up...but still better to think about a Spring ride somewhere than how cold it is outside.....for your reading

Rims On The River Vintage Car, Hot Rod, & Motorcycle Show 2010

We're in full planning mode for this years Rims on the River show, which
will be on April 16-18th, 2010. There's so much more going on this year
that we've decided to spread it out over a weekend. First we'd like to
tell you that we have a new website, www.rimsontheriver.com, for you to
get updates as they continue to materialize. I've attached this years
vehicle registration to this email. As in the past, clubs or groups of
friends can register together, but we still need every ones individual
information. The car show itself will be on Saturday April 17th, 2010,
11-5:00pm, with car placement happening from 9-11:00am.

**VERY IMPORTANT**- Last year we had over 500 vehicles, and we're
expecting more this year, so we ask you to follow these few simple
guidelines. We understand that things can arise that will prevent someone
from attending, but we ask that any substitution on a pre-registration
must be done up to 2 days prior to the event. We will strictly enforce no
substitution the morning of the show. We're not saying that these "new"
attendees can't come in, it's just that they'll have to enter in the day
of the show entrances. Again, please understand that with a event of this
size, it's important to keep things running smoothly, with no surprises.
We have a limited time to get everyone in to the parking areas, and we
need to keep the pre-registered information correct for the judges as
well. Also we ask that if you're coming in as a club, or as a group of
friends that wish to park together, please arrive together, in line. This
will allow us to get you all in much quicker. If you're a group of 20 or
more, please contact us as we can set up a area for your group in advance.
All pre-registered vehicles will be guaranteed a space.

Any one wishing to be a vendor at the event can download a application
from the website. This year we will also be placing banks of port-o-johns
throughout the event, to better accommodate everyone's needs. We once
again urge you to visit the website to get more details on the event as
there's so much going on such as the Friday night "Welcome Parties",
Saturday's Free Concert by the Cape Fear River, Free tours of the 150'
tallship "Peacemaker", and much more!

If you’re coming in from out of town, be sure to stay at the Inn Keeper
Hotel, at 5345 Market St, conveniently off of the I-40 exit, as soon as
you enter Wilmington. Be sure to let them know that you’re in town for the
Rims on the River show, and they’ll give you a discounted room for $55.00
+ tax. Call 910-799-4292, Amanda Johnson, General Manager.

We’d like to thank all of our major sponsors, who have become the backbone
of this great event, Advance Auto Parts, Fat Tony’s Italian Pub, Britt’s
Motorsports, R.A.Jeffreys Distribution/Budweiser, if you get a chance be
sure to tell them how much you appreciate their kind support of this event
and of our downtown community!

Also big Thanks goes out to WECT & FOX26, Encore Magazine, AdPak, The
Penguin 106.7 & The Bone 103.7, Star News, Slice of Life, Live Wire
Powdercoating, Cape Fear Community College, Cape Fear Roller Girls and Inn Keeper Hotels.
