Triangle Italian Motoring Enthusiasts - Briar Creek 1 Dec.
A cross post from the Guzzi forum: http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=14710.0
Mind you this includes Italian cars, too, but I intend to show up on my Guzzi.
[I'm just forwarding this. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Last time I was the only Guzzi there...]
We'd like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who came out
and attended the breakfast at Brig's earlier this month. The turnout
was better than we ever could have anticipated. We hope to continue to
have a strong showing. Please forward this email on to anyone you know
who would be interested in these events and we'll continue to bring
more owners and enthusiasts aboard.
Triangle Italian Motoring Enthusiasts will be hosting their monthly
breakfast on Saturday, December 1st at the Briar Creek Commons
shopping center. Briar Creek is located at the junction of Highway
70/Glenwood Ave and Interstate 540. The meet will begin at 9 AM and
breakfast will be available Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, Caribou Coffee,
and Bruegger's Bagels. We will gather on the outer edge of the parking
lot near Chili's in order to have a centralized location. We will be
at Briar Creek from 9 AM to 11 AM, which should give everyone plenty
of time to grab a bite and enjoy all of the Italian machinery.
At 11 AM, we will line up for a toy run. We will be collecting toys
for Toys 4 Tots, so we are asking everyone to please bring a new,
unwrapped toy to the event. Once everyone has lined up, we will run
the toys over to the United States Marine Corps Reserve center on
Western Blvd via i540 -> i40 -> i440. We are hoping to be able to have
some of the children involved with the program come out and enjoy the
cars and motorcycles, but that is still in the works.
Please spread the word regarding this event, as we are inviting all of
the European sports car communities since this is a charity event. The
more the merrier.
That is the current plan for our December gathering. Please let us
know if you have any comments, questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Some other notes:
- You can view photos of our previous events, including the gathering
at Brig's at http://picasaweb.google.com/TriangleItalians
- We would like to get a website up and running. If anyone is familiar
with building websites and would be willing to help, please send us an
email. We'd really like to get a message board up as well, so anyone
who is familiar with vBulletin could also be very helpful.
- We're working on trying to put together an event on New Years in
Pinehurst that will bring together our group as well as the Charlotte
Area Ferrari Enthusiasts, and the Ferrari Club of America - NC and SC
chapters. Anyone who would be able to help find a good location in
Pinehurst to host the event would be much appreciated.
Once again, thank you to everyone for your participation.
